About the firm

A small injury firm, on purpose

Halvorsen & Diaz is two attorneys and a case manager in downtown Tacoma. We keep the firm small so the people you meet are the people doing the work.

Erik Halvorsen and Marisol Diaz started the firm to handle injury cases only: car and truck crashes, people hit while walking or riding, and injuries at work.

Most of our clients have never needed a lawyer before. They're hurt, the bills are arriving, and an insurer is already calling. We start by explaining where things stand and what usually happens next, in plain words and in English or Spanish.

How we work

What working with us looks like

  • One attorney, start to finish

The attorney you meet first stays on your case. You won't be handed off to someone you've never met.

  • Updates without chasing

Tess calls with news as it comes, and you can call her with questions at any point.

  • Plain answers about money

The fee, the costs and what you'd take home are set out in writing, before and at the end.
